The Community Foundation of Washington County is celebrating 2021 by beginning a monthly program on Friday, January 22nd to raise the awareness of Washington County citizens about our organization, its purpose and goals.
On the fourth Friday of every month, local businesses throughout the county will wear special buttons, display information about the Community Foundation, offer free pens and put out collection cans for the organization. The Community Foundation of Washington County is a non-profit organization and all collections will be used to support and continue the foundations operations. For the week of January 18-23, the Washington Fareway grocery store will hold a “round-up” event where shoppers may round up their purchases to benefit the Community Foundation.
“Our mission is to promote philanthropy, help donors fulfill their charitable goals and to support non-profit organizations,” says Millie Youngquist, Executive Director of the organization. “We exist as a way for local donors to permanently support the causes they care about.” For more information about the Community Foundation of Washington County, contact Millie at: firstname.lastname@example.org or visit their website: cfwashingtoniowa.org.
