Chef Spotlight Dinner Benefits Libraries of Washington County Washington, Iowa
Washington, Iowa – Chef Spotlight Dinner Benefits Latinos for Washington Non-profit Group
Diners at the Chef Spotlight Dinner on Monday, November 10th at the Wooden Wheel Winery enjoyed a delicious meal, prepared by Café Dodici of Washington. Guest speakers were Jackie Areolla, Sonia Leyva and Jake Engle from Latinos for Washington. Patrons got a chance to put their philanthropy in practice by raising over $12,000 in an auction of donated desserts from many county businesses and individuals. Proceeds from this auction will be divided between the Community Foundation of Washington County and the Latinos for Washington group to assist with their work in offering free citizenship classes to area residents seeking US citizenship and providing local scholarships.
The Community Foundation of Washington County works together with many individuals, families, and organizations to establish endowment funds that provide permanent support to charitable causes in Washington County.
